What liquids can I put in the hookah base instead of water?

Generally, any non-carbonated beverage may be added to the water in a hookah base, or replace the water completely. We don't recommend adding milk to the base, as this can cause the water to bubble into the hose. Ice is also a great addition to any hookah base. It cools the smoke which allows for a thicker smoke as well as cooling the smoke to a more comfortable temperature as you smoke it.

Whatever you put into the base, if it has a flavor or a smell it will alter the taste of your hookah smoke. Most of your taste comes from your sense of smell and that is how the hookah works, so generally a liquid that has more of a smell will be "tasted" more.

You can use Mt. Dew, but I would mix it with water because the high amount of sugar and 'stickiness' might mess up your hookah. So I would recommend doing a 2 parts water, one part Mt. Dew mix.

I put Lemon aid Hawaiian Punch with Strawberry AL Fahker Shisa....basically is was Strawberry Lemon aid and probably the best thing I ever did with my hooka. the smoke we nice, but make sure you add a little water to prevent sugar build up!

u dont use carbonated water cuz it could kill u when u try to smoke it at first, if u inhale ur not getting any air in u only carbon thats y so u just suck and exhale for a while after its all good

i like to put iced coffee in the base and smoke mint chocolate chill, or vanilla. but my favorite is when you mix the two together. . . . like a wet dream, lol

We do not recommend mixing shisha tobacco and e liquid in the hookah bowl or adding e liquid to the hookah base water. Tap water is perfectly fine for the hookah base water!

when my friends and i use carbonated beverages, we put it into a dish or cup with a wide opening in the refridgerator for a while. this flattens it quite a bit. of course, if we don't have much time or are impatient we just shake it up 8D. messy, but fun lol.

I wanna try soda pop, but i guess i have to delute it first. water and ice probably is one of the best things, maybe even coffee and ice would be good with some mint shisha.

The way I usually smoke it, is by pouring a small glass of whisky in to the base and proceed with filling the rest of the base with very hot water. This will allow for the alcohol and strong flavor of the whisky to be released, and when smoking, to blend in with whatever shisha we prepared. The combination of whisky and peach flavored shisha would be my choice for anyone interested in trying. :)

Once we have used home made fruit brandy (52%). My hand slipped and I put too much into the bowl. The first guy nearly fall off from his chair after the first try. So make sure you are careful with alcohol.

Hello well i read that if you put milk the smoke will be thicker, i tried it but it made bubbles and the milk passed by the hose but i also read if you put like about 20% milk and the rest water, juice whatever it would make the smoke thicker

How come you shouldn't use carbonated beverages? And if you put alcohol in the bottom, is it possible to get buzzed; or drunk? I have never tried it and I'm curious.

Tried it with ice and White Cherry Powerade in the base with vanilla Al Fakher Shisha, and it's great, the smoke isn't as thick as just ice and cold water, but you get the vanilla taste faster and there is a white cherry aftertaste. It's quite blissful.

I've used milk in the base of mine before with chocolate shisha, it smokes and tastes really good but the milk bubbles up into the hose (nothing a little purging can't fix). I've also put sweet tea which is really good with cherry, Dr. Pepper is good as well. You also can't go wrong with Gatorade. With the carbonated drinks I find it best to make them flat. I've never tried alcohol but from what you guys have been saying I might give it a try.

Just make sure that the downstem is only submerged about an inch. Doesn't really matter what's in the base!

im 15 and my friends and i love hoookah. we put listerine and water in the bowl with chocolate shisha, and we also tried it with mint shisha. IT WAS NICE

Ive never tried anything like alcohol in it but i do put a little bit of milf just to make the water murky and it gives u a thicker smoke. . . .also a good tip is to pack our head wrap the foil and let it sit upside down for about 10 min so the juice goes to the top the take the foil off and replace it . . . .then while ur smoking it will have full flavor the whole time your smoking :)

im too scared to try the carbonated stufff but i really wnna try the soda im lebanese i smoke hookah with m family about 4 times a week yesterday i tried it with ice and it makes the smoke a little colder and way thicker and gives you more taste of the tabaccoo

I've personally used milk and water mixed and it makes for a thicker smoke with any shisha. I've also used different fruit juices with the according shisha (orange juice-orange shisha) (aplle juice-apple) THe thicker the juice the thicker the smoke

Alcohol in the base can be vaporized and will be absorbed through the lungs. This can be intoxicating, but it's also very dangerous as it removes the body's natural defense-- vomiting-- against alcohol poisoning. A little red wine might be good for flavor, but the base should be mostly water; as a rule, no more than a single serving portion of alcohol should be put in the base, no matter how many people are smoking.

Me and my friends recently tried rootbeer in the base with honey shisha to our extreme liking. Made for a thicker than normal smoke it seemed.
